My first bath in weeks!

So Monday, I took my first bath in weeks!
Don’t misunderstand me.
I’ve been taking showers in between lol!
Usually 2 a day, sometimes 3.
It’s been THAT HOT here in the U.K. I was sweating just thinking about moving!
.
I LOVE soaking in the bath, but for one, the local water authority kept sending out texts urging us to
shower instead of taking baths.
To conserve water.
And also, you can’t really have 2 -3 large baths a day can you?
But you CAN jump back into the shower.
There’re quicker.
They use less water.
I was temporarily “a showerer” !!!!

You’re probably wondering where the F this is going lol!
.

Well it’s about self care.
I mean I LOVE soaking in the bath and I don’t care what anyone says about stewing in your
own dirty water!!!
Baths relax me.
Baths are soothing.
Especially if you add half a packet of bath salts!
.
I LOVE the quiet time I get in the tub.
No one bothering me.
Nothing to do but lie there and chill…
EXCEPT I either read or take my phone in with me and listen / watch other entrepreneurs (on YouTube & Facebook you understand!)
.
But that stuff is still relaxing to me.
It’s what I’m into!
.
Thing is, a while back I felt guilty about self care.
Guilty for taking a MASSIVE walk on the weekend and leaving hubby alone with the T.V.
– he doesn’t care lol!!!!  – we BOTH get some peace and quiet.
.
I felt guilty for sodding off and journaling AND reading AND going and getting my hair done
AND… ANYTHING THAT WASN’T WORK OR HOUSE WORK.
.

Just know, my hubby Andy doesn’t expect me to be chained to the sink!

In fact HE does more housework than I do.
And he’s more meticulous about it too.
But the guilt was still there.
.

I PUT THE GUILT THERE.
ME.

.
It was of course some old conditioning.
.
But also though, if I’m burned out,
stressed out,
TIRED A F…
I’m not gonna be much use to anyone am I?
.
SO yeah.
I’m back to baths.
With a few showers thrown in, ’cause I like the time they save me.
And I’m walking a shiz ton more too.
Not just for the fitness / fat loss it’ll bring,
but for the GREEN THERAPY too.

.

For the fresh air.
The vitamin D.
The getting away from everyone and everything.

To be able to exercise and learn at the same time;

Podcasts,
audios,
livestreams.
.
Self care is fitness,
wellness,
happiness,
calmness,
revitalising,
and ESSENTIAL.
It’s something we should make a PRIORITY.
.
So don’t go without having baths!!! 🛀
.
